Bosch Resistance Welding Controls
Key Benefits Common To Both AC And MFDC Models
-
Bosch is the worlds largest manufacturer of
Mid-Frequency DC (MFDC) welding controls.
-
Extensive line of both single phase AC and MFDC welding controls.
-
Bosch uses a highly modular approach in the manufacturing of
these controls. Whether using AC or MFDC units, all the controls use
the same timer, connect together on the same network, use the same
programming software and procedures, and use the same interface hardware.
They even use the exact same chassis and connector systems to that a user
could change from one process to another simply by plugging in a different
power module. This results in cost savings in spare parts
inventory as well as operator training.
-
Interface options include DeviceNET, ProfiBus,
Interbus-S, and 24VDC discrete I/O. Again, a common timer is
used, with the desired interface module plugging into a slot on the front of
the timer.
-
Programming is accomplished with either a
dedicated programming terminal or with the very powerful BOS 5000 Windows®
based software. The controls can be networked together using ordinary
ethernet or one of the fieldbus networks.
-
Both type of controls can use either primary or
secondary constant current methods of current regulation, as well as
standard percent current if the user desires. In fact, the user can
switch between % current and constant current during the execution of the
weld schedule.
