MET Training Services
Key Benefits
-
Train everyone exposed to your welding process.
When personnel understand the basic process, less downtime results due to
operators making bad assumptions and dumb mistakes. Our classes are
not taught by some "professional trainer", but only by real Welding
Engineers who actually solve students problems as they arise during our
highly interactive classes.
-
Weld quality improves when operators know the do's
& don't's of the process. For example, did they know that too much
weld force can make as many bad welds as not enough?
-
Maintenance costs go down because users are taught
preventative maintenance. To be sure, scheduled maintenance is always less
costly than unscheduled maintenance.
-
We train our students at your site or ours.
Training at your site allows the students to have hands-on time on their own
equipment, ask relevant questions for their unique application, and saves
money as travel expenses are only incurred for one person instead of the
whole class. Our classes are very inexpensive and allow our customer
to almost immediately begin realizing a return on their investment in
improved quality and productivity.
-
Finally, we don't just put on some generic,
"boxed" class where one size fits all. We customize each class to
focus on the most specific applications the prospective students are exposed
to. For example, if a particular customer does only seam welding
applications in their plant, it makes little sense to spend hours dwelling
on projection welding. We have even gone to a customer's plant prior
to training, took photos of some of the equipment, and incorporated it into
the training materials.
Classes Offered
-
Below is just a short description of each class. Please click
the "Request More Information" link below to receive a more complete
class syllabus and costs.
- Basic Resistance Welding Training
-
This class is intended for
anyone who has little or no experience with resistance welding. It
covers the basics of the process, some troubleshooting skills, but a broad
exposure to the do's & don't's. It includes instruction to develop a
basic weld schedule, and to identify if the process begins to get out of
hand.
- Advanced Resistance Welding Training
-
This class is for more
technically proficient students such as electricians, engineers, weld
technicians, and others with a more than elementary understanding of the
process. It teaches more advanced welding applications, considerable
electrical considerations, stepper program setup and much more.
Regardless of the level of experience, we recommend the Basic class as a
prerequisite for this one.
- ATek Weld Control Training
-
This class teaches all the
programming fundamentals, troubleshooting the process with some of the more
advanced features, I/O connections and interfacing, and full explanation of
the fault codes.
